While there ended up being plenty of fashion-related topics to discuss from the actual games, nothing compared to this. Aside from that epic Spice Girls reunion (more on that later), we pretty much died when Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Stella Tennant, Karen Elson and other Brit models appeared on floats in show-stopping custom ensembles, in what may have been the most sense-making part of the whole event.

London‘s successfully made itself into a fashion capital over the last few decades, and that’s perhaps never been made more clear than it was last night with some of the city’s strongest contributions to the fashion business–models and designers alike.

Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, the obvious stars of the show, wore gilded Alexander McQueen.
