Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Ready-To-Wear Spring Summer 2014


“Art for fashion’s sake” was the inspiration behind this spring/summer 2014 collection by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. His traces are everywhere in this collection, on dresses, skirts, accessories in monochrome and primary tones, the Castelbajac colours. The fashion show featured an original soundtrack with the voice of “Monsieur” created in collaboration with Mr-Nô. In the meantime, a projection showed Jean-Charles de Castelbajac painting what turned out to be the final dress. Find out the pictures after the jump.

Comme des Garçons spring/summer 2014 fashion show was really conceptual, playing with a 3D vision. Rei Kawakubo said to WWD: “The only way to create something new was to start without the intention of making clothes”. And it look like more to an architectural approach with an anti-flat spirit. Each looks was different and the music highlighted it even more. The fashion show ended with a long standing ovation.
