New York based brand, Suno has collaborated with Uniqlo on a limited edition spring collection.
Designers Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty were inspired by “Japanese Americana”, using floral and striped prints with light colors for their collection of dresses, blouses and jeans.
The collection incorporated Suno’s sophisticated aesthetic of combining different prints, while also keeping in mind Uniqlo’s essence of simplicity and comfort. The brand’s oriental inspirations combined with their modern cuts deliver a very current collection for the Japanese fast-fashion retailer.
“We wanted to create something sweet, straightforward, and easy,” said Beatty. “We [took] something that felt distinctly American, and then mix[ed] it up in a SUNO way.”
In addition to working with Uniqlo, Suno has also worked on collaborations with jeweler Pamela Love and shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood.
The pieces in the collection range from $20-$40 and are set to hit stores on May 20th.
