Alexander Wang taps into Balenciaga’s heritage, filtered through his own modern perspective to create his first fragrance for the brand. He gave a preview of the scent at his pre-spring 2015 show, a graphic box with a large B representing the fragrance’s name.

Designer Alexander Wang announced his partnership with Swedish fast fashion label H&M on Saturday night, at midnight EST with a video on his Instagram account showing a digital countdown, a basketball shot clock, ended with the numbers 11:06, for the collection’s November 6 debut. Wang is the first American designer who has partnered with H&M for its annual designer collaboration. The collection, which comprises apparel and accessories for men and women, will be available in 250 H&M stores worldwide and online. Currently creative director for Balenciaga and for his eponymous label, Alexander Wang follows in the footsteps of major fashion industry names such as Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Donatella Versace, Alber Elbaz and Isabel Marant,
Alexander Wang‘s starting point for fall 2014 is to introduces the knitwear vocabulary to Balenciaga. Wang felt that knitwear was not very present after his research so, he built a collection steeped archival concepts with his creative approach of knitwear . “Almost every single look or piece has an element or a surface or a visual or a stitch related to knit,” he said.
The fashionable Aoyama district of Tokyo, Japan, is flourishing even more with the addition of Alexander Wang‘s flagship store. A-Wang’s three-story standalone stocks menswear, womenswear and the designer’s T line, as well as special items exclusive to Tokyo.
This store comes after the growing success of the brand. It’s the 12th store open this past year.

The innovative online retailer has worked with fashion houses including Alexander Wang, Raf Simons and Ami to create exlusive capsule collections. The buying team has worked with a handful of quite different brands to develop capsule collections that will be available only from Mr Porter.
