The fashionable Aoyama district of Tokyo, Japan, is flourishing even more with the addition of Alexander Wang‘s flagship store. A-Wang’s three-story standalone stocks menswear, womenswear and the designer’s T line, as well as special items exclusive to Tokyo.
This store comes after the growing success of the brand. It’s the 12th store open this past year.

The innovative online retailer has worked with fashion houses including Alexander Wang, Raf Simons and Ami to create exlusive capsule collections. The buying team has worked with a handful of quite different brands to develop capsule collections that will be available only from Mr Porter.
Finally, it looks like it is not Christopher Kane, but Alexander Wang to take over Balenciaga, as several sources report today. Succeeding Nicolas Ghesquière, who has his last day at the PPR owned fashion house today, we should be hearing an official statement from Balenciaga in the following days.
Anyone starting to doubt the potential of short fashion films distributed online need only look at the results of this season’s Dior video, “Secret Garden – Versailles,” shot at the Château de Versailles by image-making maestros Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. When YouTube viewership figures for the film’s 60-second and 3-minute versions are added together, the video has clocked over 23 million views, a staggering number that could make it the most popular fashion film ever, surpassing last season’s CGI epic “L’Odyssée de Cartier,” which currently has almost 16 million views.
