After a 30-year absence, Loris Azzaro is returning to the high fashion calendar with a show scheduled in July during Paris couture week. One year before, the French fashion house tapped Arnaud Maillard and Alvaro Castejón, two Spain-based designers, as the new creative directors. Although it will continue to produce and market its ready-to-wear line, Azzaro is to stop showing during the rtw fashion weeks in Paris.
Word has it Hedi Slimane, who had a soft spot for the Carreau du Temple during his Dior Homme year, is to return to the venue to unveil his newest collections for Saint Laurent. The covered market, built in 1863 and prized for its arches of glass and iron, has been closed for several years following extensive renovations and is slated to reopen officially on April 25.
The history of Italian shoe maker Pollini was exhibited in scattered and piled boxes of shoes with their most significant pieces. Old models from the 70′s and the new collaboration with Nicholas Kirkwood was well received by media and the fashion set at their event during Milan Fashion Week.
