Scott Sternberg’s Band of Outsiders Fall/Winter collection incorporated feminine and masculine elements.
Sternberg combined masculine pieces, like pinstripe suits and dress shirts, with feminine pieces, like a-line dresses and bold colors, giving the collection an androgynous feel. He also used graphic prints and bold colors, which made the collection very modern and cool.
Corneliani Men’s RTW Fall 2013
Men’s Fashion Week in Milan started this morning with heartfelt words for the Missoni family by Mr.Corneliani on behalf of the company before presenting the collection.
Corneliani’s distinguished sharp tailoring was modernized with oversized coats and bags, elaborate knitwear and subtle cargo details in a color palette of grey, burgundy and ecru.

The collection is to be released in February 2013, with prices ranging from £140 to £330.

Kirna Zabete Enters Target Shops

Available September 9th, the collection is said to be an exercise in print-making and a “stylist kit on steroids.” “There’s no bad combination of silhouettes; we designed it to mix and match” the owners and designers Sarah Easley and Beth Buccini told to Teen Vogue. This collection will range all the way from $9.99 to $199.99.

Designer Jessie Randall’s new handbag collection consists of six chic handbags in the same buttery leather the brand has become known for, in a variety of colors and shapes. John Barrett’s Ponytail Bar in NYC

Barrett decided to expand his salon after the success of his first “hair bar” with the John Barrett Braid Bar last summer. The menu that has customers wanting to transform their hair into a fabulous ponytail offers six ponytail options for every type of girl. The choices for ponies at the salon are called The Top Knot, The High Pony, The Low Pony, The Braided Pony, The Low Pony and Braid, and The Sculpted Low Pony, with prices ranging from $50 for a basic pony and $125 for a pony with extensions.
The salon promises to secure you with the right ponytail depending on the individual’s hair type and a ponytail style, ready to wear for every occasion. Sarah Brown, Vogue’s Beauty Director brought several of Vogue’s editors to preview the new addition at the salon, and the six ladies each tried out different hairstyles. Yayoi Kusama X Louis Vuitton Collaboration And Whitney Museum of Art Exhibit
[dropcap]L [/dropcap]ouis Vuitton and the Whitney Museum in New York are seeing dots. Famed Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama has teamed up with Louis Vuitton for a collaboration, and is also being honored with a retrospective at the Whitney Museum Of Art in New York.
Yayoi Kusama is most known for her abstract and pop art scenes, polka dot technique and unique installations. Her exhibit at the Whitney, open July 12th through September 30th, showcases over 50 years of her work with the museum itself decorated in polka dots. In an interview with WWD on the exhibit’s grand opening, the 83 year old Kusama remarked “I’m genius.”
For the grand opening of the collaboration on Tuesday July 10, the Louis Vuitton Fifth Avenue Flagship unveiled its store window displays covered in dots and abstract shapes in Kusama’s designs, and Kusama herself arrived to the opening in a polka dotted wheelchair. The artist’s collaboration with Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, in stores worldwide now, stays true to Kusama’s style – RTW, handbags, and accessories covered in her classic polka dots.
Her exhibit at the museum as well as the collaboration with Louis Vuitton had been highly anticipated and on Tuesday night W magazine along with Louis Vuitton hosted a dinner at the Whitney Museum in New York City in the artist’s honor. The dinner party was held at the Whitney Museum and was a preview of what to expect from her exhibit. Stars including Dianna Agron, Lauren Santo Domingo, Harley Viera- Newtown, Margherita Missoni as well as many others were present and enthralled. “That’s the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in a long time,” Hannah Bronfman said to WWD in regards to the installation. Unfortunately Yayoi did not attend the dinner because she had spent most of the day at LV’s fifth avenue flagship during the store unveiling.
