As the French fashion house and Paris department store join forces, Kenzo loves Printemps presents a limited edition, capsule collection of ready-to-wear and accessories. With pieces featuring Kenzo’s iconic Tigre, Œil and Monster prints, don’t miss the unique capsule hitting the shelves on August 28.
Kenzo unveiled its spring 2015 Menswear runway which embodies both American and French influences. Still-new designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim – Americans in Paris founders of the internationally known shop Opening Ceremony – presented a collection which featured canvas coats, parkas, shirts and tees emblazoned with fresh prints, polka-dots, and nautical stripes.
Jean Pierre Blanc created this festival to promote next-generation photographers and designers. This year, Hyères’ Festival de Mode et de Photographie will be presided by jury heads Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, Creative Directors at Kenzo since 2011 and founders of brand and concept store, Opening Ceremony from April 25-28, 2014. They joined American actress Chloë Sevigny; Carol Song, head buyer at Opening Ceremony; Jay Massacret, editor in chief of VMan; Eric Wilson, Fashion Director at InStyle USA and industry influencers. On 312 applications, only 10 had the chance to be part of finalists. They will present at Villa Noailles for the Festival’s final competition in April. See finalists after the jump.
Kenzo creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, are translating their native land – America – for the French one. Previous season, they brought their own version of California casual; this fall, the duo moved to the Pacific Northwest. “When we used to live in Berkeley, we used to always go north, and we spent a lot of time in those different states,” Leon said. “There’s a specific way of dressing in them, a really cinematic way. Kenzo and Toilet Paper Magazine teams up for a Fall/Winter 2013 capsule collection. The two creative hubs translating their innovative campaign to sweaters, T-shirts and iPhone cases. The collaboration will be available in Kenzo stores, selected partners worldwide and in kenzo.com.
For its Fall/Winter 2013 campaign, Kenzo teamed up with Maurizio Cattelan, Micol Talso and Pierpaolo Ferrari – the creative minds behind TOILETPAPER. The results see Sean O’Pry and Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi alongside everything from a kitten and tiger-striped dog to slippery banana peels and more in a set of surrealist imagery that looks like something right out of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Some news for the trendy designers from Kenzo and Maison Kitsuné. Kenzo will serve as the guest designer for the men’s trade show Pitti Uomo and Maison Kitsuné will occupy the same role at its women’s counterpart, Pitti W.

When YouTube viewership figures for the film’s 60-second and 3-minute versions are added together, the video has clocked over 23 million views, a staggering number that could make it the most popular fashion film ever, surpassing last season’s CGI epic “L’Odyssée de Cartier,” which currently has almost 16 million views.
