Hermès – Festival des métiers at Saatchi Gallery

Travelling from China, Hermès presents Festival des Métiers at Saatchi Gallery in London. Allowing visitors to get up close to the production processes behind some of their most iconic goods, “Festival des Métiers unlocks the poetic and unique crafts that are the essence of the house of Hermès.” A behind-the-scenes glimpse into the construction of handbags, watches, fine-jewellery as well the opportunity to see their legendary scarves printed on-site.

Free admission 21 May – 27 May 2013, 10am – 6pm Daily. Duke of York’s HQ, King’s Road, London, SW3 4RY.

The British Fashion Council/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Winner 2013

The winner of this year’s BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund is Nicholas Kirkwood. The Award, which is now in its fourth year, was established to further enhance the reputation of London’s rising stars and assist in the development of their businesses. It is comprised of £200,000 and access to key senior level mentors across the UK fashion industry.

London Collections: Men 2013

London’s second edition of London Collections Men has announced its dates for 2013!

The event will showcase and celebrate a variety of British menswear designers from heritage brands to international names and emerging talent.

This AW13 schedule welcomes over 50 designers to show in London from 7th- 9th January 2013.

In addition, The Fashion Forward sponsorship has awarded four menswear designers, who will receive access to business support provided by the BFC as well as a cash prize to assist in showing their AW13 collections.
