Designer Prabal Gurung tapped Rosie Huntington-Whiteleyto give his fall ad campaign an international spin. The campaign was shot by Daniel Jackson against a mountainesque set made by Gerard Santos. The idea of bridging and exploring different worlds resonated with Gurung, whose own life started in Singapore with stays in Nepal, India, London and Australia before landing in New York. “As the business is growing exponentially, I wanted to focus on someone who has a little more of an international appeal,” Gurung said.
The campaign shot by Dan Jackson stars model Liya Kebede featuring Gurung’s futuristic piece from spring collection opposite a metallic rose afire. The designer teased the campaign on Instagram with an animated short of a burning rose and slowly revealed the campaign muse through a series of tweets.
The spring 2013 campaign from Prabal Gurung highlights the shape and movement of the new season.
